Today me and Nicholas came across something I've never seen before in my whole life.
A real life praying MANTIS, not just the animated crap
in the movie "Kung Fu Panda",
but the real damn thing!! :)
It's so cute la, and Nicholas almost squished it.. =.＝
He mistook it for a leaf.. ..
It's the 1st time we both came across something so lovely..
I never thought I'd live long enough to see a mantis in singapore!!
So apparently, we're excited like mad chimps and we just had to take pictures of the dear creature.
It was quite a docile insect, quite submissive and didn't really move much. Nicholas was holding a pair of twigs and using them as chopsticks to hold the insect down while i nabbed a shot of it!
Blur.. but I got it at a nice pose though! *beams proudly* =D

After the mantis attacked me when i tried to pick it up, we both got rather bored with that green male insect and decided to let it go.
It should be a male as female mantis' are much larger and they eat the males after mating, thus showing the female species' aggression.
(sexist insects..)
Anyways, after bullying that poor thing. We headed off to the next bug.
A grasshopper!!
It was located sun bathing near the fence of my school.
It's REALLY HUGE!!
Easily twice the size of the previous mantis we saw..
and not to mention, having much more sexy legs.. =X

Erm, it was really boring just staring at it doing nothing, it didn't even move its feelers.. zz
sorry dude, I ain't gonna waste precious minutes of my life watching you emo your life away... =P
Sometimes, I just wished i could be a bug and just slack all day..
oh well, bugs have got their own problems as well.. i guess..
