Today was graduation day.
Promotion from teens to youth,
*the older generation group*
a day filled with mixed emotions..
joy, sad and even to some extent, relief.
today just reminded me that I was growing up pretty fast..
when I was p6, I would sit in one corner watching my seniors operate, preparing for worship.
I never dreamt that I'd become an older teen in church then.
As pictures of my sec 4 cell flashed before my eyes,
I realised that the camera is not only a great invention, it is also a very powerful tool.
It has the power to
no 1. stop time
the camera can capture anything at a specific time, date and even place.
Freezing even time itself at that particular moment..
year 2008 may have passed extremely fast,
but the pictures taken this year makes this year feel like forever..
people change but memories don't and the camera catches every possible moment
no 2. steal emotions from people
the camera is a nasty tool that steals a part of someone when a picture is taken, even emotions.
the camera can display the emotions of someone at that moment. whether a person is happy, sad or excited. Nothing escapes the camera's onslaught.
no 3. make someone remember the past
no matter how forgetful you are, just by looking at a picture of yourself taken in the past.
memories of the past will just flood your mind, and it enables even the most forgetful of the forgetful remember.
which is why cam whorers have the most powerful tool on earth,
it captures a person totally, frozen in time, and every detail and emotion is caught along with it.
I wonder what next year has in stall for me..
this year was fun but next year will be better!
haha xD
